Knee replacement is serious surgery. We know the only reason you undergo this ordeal is because you want to move without pain and enjoy your life again.

It’s important to remember that surgery is the just the first – and not the only – step in your recovery. Without the second step of concentrated and refined rehabilitation, the cost and pain of surgery could be in vain.

LifeWorks Rehab has that step covered. Our advanced, proven rehabilitation program can help you fulfill the promise of the changes that start with your knee replacement surgery.

The LifeWorks process always starts with an extensive evaluation that examines all aspects of your condition including your pre-surgery and post-surgery abilities and pain levels. We then develop a personalized plan that addresses your needs and goals. The first few days after surgery, we focus on getting you moving again. We use concentrated physical therapy to build strength, control, endurance, and mobility so you can move safely on your own. At the same time we use occupational therapy to help you perform the activities of daily living so you can achieve the goal of your knee replacement — returning to a more mobile, functional life without pain.

The LifeWorks Advantage
A Little Motivation

There's nothing John likes more than a round of golf. Except, perhaps, nine rounds of golf.

As an active softball coach, John had begun to live with growing knee pain that arthroscopic surgery could no longer help.

He decided to have his knee replaced in October, so he would be healed and ready for softball season the following Spring.

After his surgery, he came to LifeWorks. It wasn't easy, but John was motivated. His rigorous, custom-designed therapy program helped him get the results he needed. And a lot more!

In fact, two-and-a-half months after having his knee replaced, John went on a family vacation — where he played nine rounds of golf. It's surprising what a little motivation — and the right program — can do.
